The second part of the famous Mafia game is finally released after so many delays. WE are proud to present you the Collector’s Edition. The package is really simple: you can slip out the metal case and the art book from the protective plastic case.

The Steelbook this time has a matte design, decorated with unique artworks and embossed Mafia logos on both sides. Inside you can find the game disc and the official 48-track orchestra score on a CD, which has a really nice vinyl design. You will also get the Made Man Pack DLC code to unlock new cars and costumes.

You should be satisfied with the included artistic booklet at first glance. A 100 page hard cover art book will blow you away after the first ten pages. You can take a closer look at the game’s weapons, vehicles, characters and some contemporary advertisements on the high quality paper. Last piece of the package is a huge Guide to Empire Bay map, printed on specialty tear-resistant paper. The opposite side of the map is decorated with artworks and ads.

Release price: £54.99
Platform: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360

Warhammer Online had a very special collector’s edition, but WE couldn’t get it on the release date, due to limited availability. Few days ago WE received a different rare version, which was only released in Russia.

The game comes in an ordinary Steelbook decorated with matte graphics, the only specialty WE can mention are the embossed logos. Inside there is a user’s guide with the serial number and two game discs. There were two art cards in the normal European release, those are surprisingly missing from the Steelbook edition.

Region: Russia
Release date: 18-SEP-2008
Release price: N/A
Platform: PC

Contents: Steelbook, Game discs.

WE were waiting for this day since a very-very long time. After so many years of development StarCraft II has been completed and WE are more than happy to hold the stuffed Wings of Liberty Collector’s Edition in our hands. Special editions produced by Blizzards are always stunning, you will face this fact upon meeting with the huge and heavy release in person.

The outer box is made of thick cardboard paper; its design is highly detailed, even the small screws on the front are embossed. You will meet with the ultimate Wings of Liberty experience after removing the lid. The used materials are perfect and every single content is sealed separately.

Firstly let’s see at the game itself, which comes in a normal DVD case with a CE serial number (this automatically activates the extras for Battle.net), user’s manual and 4 Guest Passes (2 for Wow and 2 for StarCraft II) to invite your friends to play. There’s a bonus DVD containing all the developer interviews and every pre-rendered cinematics, also an Official Soundtrack CD in a separate jewel case with 14 music tracks. The package holds the #0 issue of the StarCraft comic book and a heavy Wings of Liberty art book. This 176-paged hard-covered artistic book will blow you away for sure; both the inside artworks and the quality of pages are flawless.

The most unique content is a 2GB USB drive, crafted as Jim Raynor’s “DOG TAG”. Instead of a cheap plastic data storage you get a device which is made of metal, put together with real screws and it glows orange when you plug it into your computer. It’s not empty either; it comes preloaded with the full version of StarCraft and the Brood War expansion pack.

Despite the high price WE are truly recommending to buy StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty Collector’s Edition, because both the game and the package are superior. Publishers are not really creative on designing a CE these days, but Blizzard teaches everyone a lesson with a package like this.

Release date of Kane & Lynch 2 is getting really close. You can read some fresh news about it every day and a playable demo is also available, so let’s look at a special release of the first episode.

The Kane & Lynch: Dead Men Limited Edition comes in a paper case; actually it’s a very neat digipak release. Even though the front cover has the same art as the normal edition, after opening the package you will say it’s still a forgivable flaw. The inside part is decorated with portraits of the main characters; basically every side of the paper holder has a nice artwork. To the left side of the game disc there is an official Soundtack CD and a holder on the right, where you can find the game’s user manual and a continuous set of 4 art cards.

Region: PAL
Release date: 23-NOV-2007
Release price: £44.03

WE couldn’t imagine that the Scarborough Fair replica will be such well designed collector’s item. It is smaller than Bayonetta’s gun known from the game, but its weight and elaborated finish are really impressive. With the included stand you can easily put this rare item to the collector’s shelf.

The presented replica was a very limited pre-order gift in GAME stores; this was the easiest and cheapest way to get one in Europe. In Australia the gun was included in the Bayonetta Climax Edition which WE already reviewed in January.

There was no presentation of a fighting game media kit on our site before, so WE picked Tekken: Dark Resurrection that is one of the coolest-looking media packages ever made. It seems like an official fist aid kit, where the instructions were pasted with real band aids to the back side.

After unfolding the red rubbery container you can see some small art cards (9.8cm x 7.2cm), a media disc, an UMD and a Survival Guide. On the front of each 14 cards are character artworks and some funny survival tips on the back. The included Survival Guide is a 4-paged booklet, which explains the story and lists in-game characters.

Infamous 2 was announced a few a days ago, so WE thought it’s a good time take some photos of the first episode’s special edition.

WE rarely meet with such a beautiful digipak release, where every small piece is nicely detailed. You can discover colorful comic-like artworks on every side; it’s perfect. Inside the box beyond the game disc and the user’s manual you can find a small and thin, 10-paged artwork booklet and a DLC voucher to unlock a new special ability. The only thing WE could wish for was a bigger art book, but even with the one included this package is still a must-have.

There were many collector’s editions available from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky; today WE are presenting the Hungarian Limited Edition. The most important piece of the package is a medium-sized, green bag with lots of pockets, decorated with the game’s logo. It’s overall quality is excellent, the biggest S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fans are probably carrying it with themselves to the streets.

This time the game disc and the bonus DVD are held in a very elegant digipak with foil cover. As part of the package there is a zone map, a faction badge, 4 different stickers and a soft cover artwork booklet. The art book looks really good, the print quality is great and it’s full of interesting images of in-game locations, characters and weapons.

When you take a closer look at the RDR Limited Edition you might think that a game like this could have deserved a much more special release. Downloadable extras in a paper sleeve is all what you can get.

The image on the paper case is exactly the same as the normal edition’s cover, only the printed letters were made embossed and glossy. If you unfold the sleeve you can discover a cool artwork. Unfortunately only a normal edition game is included in the package along with a map and a voucher for activating downloadable content.

Release price: £54.99
Platform: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3

Contents: Paper sleeve, Normal edition game, Map, Downloadable contents (War Horse, Golden Gun Weapon Pack, Deadly Assassin Outfit, Soundtrack).
