The most expensive release of Killzone 3 with lots of extras has finally arrived, it’s called the Helghast Edition! The pack comes is a quite a big box decorated with good-looking artworks on each side, while on the top you can see the well-known logo.
The first thing you will notice after opening the package is that the contents are not separated into different boxes; it appears to be quite empty. The Helghast helmet replica could be a minor disappointment at first glace, but after taking a closer look at the item, your opinion might change really quickly. The details are nice, the materials – despite it is made of plastic – are also fine, only the eyes are making a cheap impression (it does not glow orange). After removing the detachable tubes under the helmet you can find a container for the art book and the game (just like in the Halo 3: Legendary Edition).
Instead of Steelbook, the US version includes only the standard edition game. The 100-page hardbound art book is a beautiful release; it includes a lot of nice artworks, the paper’s quality is also great. You can see pictures about certain locations, characters, weapons and vehicles as well.
The cloaking marksman figure created by DC Unlimited is pretty nice, its weight and details are also engaging. Transparent parts are very interesting, it is enough to look at the pictures and you will notice that what we are talking about. The last piece of the package is a Super Voucher, which includes lots of downloadable content: Soundtrack, dynamic theme, Retro Map Pack, making of videos, multiplayer extras and access to forthcoming SOCOM4 beta.
Note: The Helghast Edition is also available in Europe, but it includes a Steelbook instead of the standard edition game. RRP: £ 99.99, release date: 25-FEB-2011.
